Monthly Meeting Minutes – June 2017

Meeting called to order at 7:00pm.  All Board Members present.  Village Attorney Bob Paster in attendance.   St. Louis County  Police Sgt. Absolon present.  Seventeen Village Residents in attendance.

May 2017 meeting minutes reviewed.  Minutes stand as presented.

Treasurer’s Report for May 2017 presented by JC Wheeler.

May 2017 Profit & Loss Statement presented.  Balance Sheet at May 31, 2017 presented.  Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual January through May 2017 presented.  Sewer Lateral Municipal Receipts report for May presented.

Road and Building Commissioners Report presented by Frank Lydon. 

A  review of Occupancy Permits and Building Permits issued in the Village for the prior month.  Four Occupancy and Building Inspections completed by St. Louis County.

May 2017 Police Activity Report presented by St. Louis County Police Sgt. Absolon.

Sgt. Absolon discussed the Neighborhood Watch Program.  The Neighborhood Watch Program is managed by St. Louis County Officer Mike Costa.  One Village Resident is appointed Neighborhood Watch Coordinator.  The Neighborhood Watch Coordinator serves as the liason between Village Residents and The St. Louis County Police.  All Municipal Neighborhood Watch Coordinators meet quarterly at Carpenter’s Hall located on Valcour Ave.  A Facebook page could be utilized to Communicate Neighborhood Watch Issues to Village Residents.  St. Louis County Police are not connected to Facebook and all Facebook postings would be made by the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator.

Solid Waste Hauling Report presented by Dan Kaestner.

One Complaint for Waste not picked up by Waste Management.  No Other Issues to Report.

Village Clerk Report presented by Neal Vohsen.

Yard Sale Permit issued for June 9, and June 10 at 9019 Philo Ave.  No Other Issues to Report.

Chairman’s Report presented by Joe Wilhite.

A Contractor has been hired for maintenance of grass and greenery on The Hershey & Overton Circle.  Overton at Weber has been packed with rock under the street to fill an air pocket under the street.

New Business

Bob Paster read a Press Release from Ellisville.  A Non-Binding Referendum will be placed on the Ellisville Ballot to demonstrate the interest or lack of interest with the Merger of St. Louis City and St. Louis County.  The Better Together intentions to place a vote on the Statewide Ballot was discussed.
